BonitaView is one of three hospice homes run by Sharp HospiceCare in San Diego County. It is a residence rather than a hospital wing, with six private rooms and spacious shared living areas, and registered nurses on site 24 hours a day. Sharp describes these as the only residences of their kind in San Diego County. They exist solely to provide emotional, physical and spiritual care at the end of life, for people who cannot be cared for at home and do not want to die in a hospital.
