Affirming senior apartments above the GenPride community hub on Capitol Hill
Seattle, WA
Pride Place is LGBTQIA+-affirming senior housing and community hub in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. GenPride, which advocates for older LGBTQIA+ adults and runs programs built around well-being and belonging, is based on the ground floor at 1521 Broadway. That ground floor is the reason this building is different from an affirming apartment block. GenPride runs information and assistance, a hot lunch program, a community calendar of social programming, and training for organizations that want to serve LGBTQIA+ elders better. Residents do not have to travel to reach any of it. GenPride's hours are Monday to Thursday, 10am to 3pm. Apartments themselves are leased by the building's property manager rather than by GenPride, so ask GenPride about programs and the property manager about availability, rent and income limits.
