About

Pridelines is an LGBTQ+ community center in Miami that has been running since 1982, which makes it one of the longest-established in South Florida. It serves people from youth through to elders across health, mental health, community and spiritual programming.

Two of its programs are aimed squarely at older adults. HALO Coffee and Conversations is for people 55 and over, and Los Guerreros supports people living with HIV, many of whom are long-term survivors now aging with the virus. The center also runs the HALO Awards.

Alongside that sit a mental-health hub offering sliding-scale therapy, medical services including HIV testing, STI screening and PrEP or PEP navigation, primary care, adult social programs including Hermanos del Sol for Latino men and the Lavender Piano Lounge, and faith and spirituality programming.

  • Who counts as family for visiting, for medical updates and for decisions, if the person closest to me is not a relative or a spouse?
  • Do you have a written nondiscrimination policy that names sexual orientation and gender identity? Can I have a copy?
