How is long-term care paid for in New York?
New York Medicaid, run by the Department of Health, funds long-term care for those who qualify. Its Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) program delivers home and community based services so that chronically ill or disabled adults can remain at home. For Medicare questions, New York's free counseling program is HIICAP.
